Chattanooga has a vibrant theater community. The Chattanooga Theatre Centre has run continuously for 82 years and is one of the top ten largest community theaters in the nation. Area universities have thriving theater programs. Local venues allow people of all ages to attend and participate in theater productions. In the past year, shows from "Beauty and the Beast" to Agatha Christie to Edward Albee have been offered to our discerning public. Broadway shows are performed at the city's two historic theaters, the Tivoli and the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium. No wonder people from throughout the region come to Chattanooga to experience excellence and entertainment onstage.
